About

An operator who builds what's next.

I've spent three decades building companies in digital. Every one of them started with a problem I saw from the inside. Today that problem is AI: powerful, cheap to start, and very easy to lose control of.

The work now

Why local government, and why now.

Public offices sit on some of the most sensitive data anywhere: court records, property and tax rolls, election systems, and case files. Their staff are already using AI, often without a policy, a budget line, or a way for leadership to see it.

Through Buildtelligence and the ThinkFreely platform, I help cities, counties, and constitutional officers get ahead of that: clear data boundaries, governed tools, cost discipline, and the ability to change providers without rebuilding everything. Responsible AI, done in a way you can explain at a public meeting.

The same discipline built That! Company into the white label partner behind more than 750 agencies: do the work well, protect the client's trust, and build systems that outlast any single vendor.

How I lead

Principles I keep coming back to.

The operating habits behind every company I've built.

01

The Rule of Sevens

Seven years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes. Priorities get clear fast when you picture the clock running out.

02

1 + 1 = 3

You can't be your best flying solo. The right team creates more than the sum of its parts.

03

Consensus through debate

I'd rather be argued with than agreed with. Good decisions survive a real fight.
